A two storey classroom block and landscaped forecourt built beside Slavin Architects’ Trade Training Centre, which was completed in the previous year.
Design features include: a covered observation deck overlooking the adjacent sports field; flexible and readily adaptable general learning areas each with break out spaces to the North and South; and deep covered verandahs providing external learning space suited to any month of the year.
Acoustic operable walls separate each room, allowing up to five classrooms to be joined for large group learning.
Each learning area is equipped with built-in secure lockers for students as well as wet areas, making the learning areas suitable for general curriculum, crafts, science or manual arts.
